There is really only one thing besides pure natural perfection that this area is known for, and that is the Tulum ruins. It is number three on the size charts of all the ruins in Mexico, and draws large crowds from Cancun, and Playa del Carmen daily. Do not worry, as this is about five to ten minutes away from Slice of Paradise, so the tourists will not destroy the natural settings around the villas, casitas, and cabanas Tulum offers to weary vacationers who want to stay away from others.
Tulum Mexico should be enjoyed in the near future, as the expansion project of an upcoming new airport is going to even further commercialize this, and possibly take away some of that Hemmingway-esque charm, and it will never be the same again. The good news is that it will take two or three years for them to complete construction.
